How many times do you say "um"?
Paste a transcript or use your mic. Every filler word — um, uh, like, basically — gets highlighted with stats. Useful for podcasters, public speakers, and anyone who's ever heard themselves on a recording and cringed.
What we count as a filler
um, uh, hmm like, you know, basically just, really, so
Word boundaries matter. "Like" is a filler when it stands alone; "I like coffee" still gets flagged — there's no perfect heuristic in plain JavaScript. For a context-aware cleanup, that's what Vext's Enhance mode is for.
Your personal habits
Add the words you specifically want to track — your "honestly", your "right?", your "essentially". Stored on this device only.
Want fillers removed automatically while you dictate?
Vext's Enhance mode uses a local LLM to strip fillers, fix grammar, and keep your meaning. No more editing your own transcripts. Local, private, one-time payment.
